NSI Microscopy Inspection Automation launch an Automated Cognitive Particle and Foreign Material Inspection System to control process.
Digital Visual inspection is the way to take an optical eyepiece viewed image and convert it to a digital format that allows the operator to view their process inspection via a monitor ergonomically placed so the operator is in the best operating position for that inspection. The operator has control over the Magnification, Focusing, Illumination and positioning of the part underneath the digital microscope.
Automated Digital Inspection is where you take an operating procedure and automatically change and standardize the magnification, focusing, illumination, handling and positioning of the inspected part.
In Automated Microscopy, the algorithm has many controlling attributes, such a setting the magnification and focus for each defect. It controls the illumination contrast of the sample giving the defect absolute clarity and can easily be picked up by the operator. The handling aspect is a vital component of inspection as the part needs to be presented the camera, software and algorithms in the correct way so 100% inspection is possible.
To be able to identify colour deviations in inspection is an important aspect in both particle or foreign material inspection. At NSI we have a Characterisation tool that allows engineering to set colour with as set criteria that is predefined into categories that allow process operation to optimize their quality control measures.
NSI want to build the reputation of engineers by fulfilling their expectations and guiding them in quality Inspection. Each factory has a different way they setup FDA approved compliance standards. That is why we survey our customers so we give them what they need how they need it.
A result driven interface is a configured around the specific application of inspection and uses the one button press or touch philosophy of minimal buttons and simple operation to allow the operator to be most efficient. The GUI keeps in mind that there will be multiple operators using the system so NSI have designed the interface so anyone can use it.
With any interface the most important aspect is to present the information in decision-oriented way to allow the operator to make the correct decision.
The NSI Software also comes with an Engineers level which allow them to add product or redefine a defect.
In every process there are things that can be continuously improved upon, from simple ergonomics, to fully automated vision with parts handled in perfect unison with the vision system presenting results efficiently and without question.
